Janachandran Master BJP candidate of Vengara bypoll
MALAPPURAM: The central election committee of BJP has decided to field its national council member K Janachandran Master as candidate for the by-election to be held in Vengara assembly constituency.
The central election committee secretary of the party J P Nadda officially declared the candidate of Vengara on Thursday along with the announcement of the candidate in Gurudaspur LS constituency in Punjab.

Janachandran who is senior BJP leader in the district was BJP candidate in assembly election at Vallikkunnu in 2016 and he managed to secure 22,887 votes, which is highest vote secured by a BJP candidate in the district in the assembly election.
Janachandran master also contested in the assembly election held in 1982, 1987 and 1995.
He entered politics through Janatha party and was elected as Tanur Panchayat president under the party's banner in 1977. Later he joined BJP. He served as president of BJP's constituency committee, district president and state preisdent of Yuvamorcha, state secretary of BJP.
